Timing and pickup
How far ahead can I book?+
You can book up to 6 months in advance. The busiest seasons are fall football, winter basketball, spring baseball, and spring basketball, so earlier is better when your dates are set.
Where do rentals begin and end?+
Rentals begin and end at the rental location in Killeen. One-way rentals are not permitted.
Can the vehicle be delivered?+
Delivery to schools may be arranged through the quote request.
Vehicles and mileage
What deposit should I expect?+
A refundable security deposit is required. Out-of-state trips may require a different deposit.
How much mileage is included?+
One-day rentals include 200 free miles per day, then $0.75 per mile. Unlimited mileage packages are available upon request.
Are the vehicles insured and maintained?+
GrindHouse is fully insured. Our vehicles are inspected and maintained, and the maintenance records stay in the vehicle at all times. We ask whether you have current auto insurance, and you need to provide it prior to renting.
Can I travel out of state?+
Yes. Out-of-state trips require the larger deposit. Include the route in your quote request.
Vehicle details
What are the vehicle features?+
The Transit and E-350 have air conditioning. The Transit has 11 passenger seats excluding the driver, USB charging outlets throughout, wireless CarPlay, partially reclining seats, and adequate luggage space. The E-350 has 14 passenger seats excluding the driver, a cigarette lighter adapter, and large luggage storage area.
Are the vehicles wheelchair accessible?+
The Transit and E-350 are not wheelchair accessible.
Trip planning
Do I need a CDL?+
No. These are non-CDL passenger vehicle rentals. Self-drive is standard.
Can I request a driver?+
Yes. Self-drive is standard, and a driver can be requested subject to availability. A driver is priced in the quote.
Are daily school routes available?+
Daily school routes are not offered, but school trips and daycare rentals are available.
How many people can ride?+
The Transit has 11 passengers, excluding the driver, with 12 seats including the driver. The E-350 Minibus has 14 passengers, excluding the driver, with 15 seats including the driver.
What comes with a standard booking?+
The vehicle and three bottles of water are included. Drivers and tolls are not included. Fuel can be pre-purchased. A refundable security deposit is required, and a cleaning fee of $75 applies per rental.
